Stay Tuned for THE CODE
Channel's brilliant follow up studio album to 2006's TELEVISIONARY
Coming June 2007
Singles out in Jan.
Hello out their from TV Land,
So I'm almost thru what we'll call the Broken TV Winter Tour. Shows every
weekend have been fullifilling, stressful. and rewarding. But I am so ready
for a break and at this point I've decided to accept no December bookings. I
need to work on some of my relationships with the people in my life who I
love and sometimes get shuffled to the side. I want to make my music work
but not at the expense of my relationships with the ones I love. But, Nov
means the heat is on. Fri., Nov., 11, Seattle for White Out 3, headlining on
the Breaks stage, the next night Nov 12, my first Hawaii appearance, then
back home in time for Inferno 2, Fire Tribes come correct 3 room, then the
next night the LA stop of the F8 tour. Then I don't have to play again till
the 26th, when Lost Episode and Fire Tribe team up to bring out new monthly
to the Honey Bee Hive. After that, there's nothing on the calendar. Just
some time to heal my aching brains, work in the studio and woodshed on some
new tricks. I have pending booking to headline an event in Vegas on NYE, but
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to do it.
Thanks to everyone who came out for the CD release, you got to see me be a
stressball and play a shitty set. Of course, Sanctuary our benefit concert
when great, I felt in prime form with the breaks that night. Elektrosorcery
was a great, underground time. Majere is absolutely and talented, sweet guy.
Too bad about Phantom Manor, my best goes out to Vic and Lost Episode for
their dedication and scope. The Beck concert was phenomenal although I got
caught backstage and thrown out. Hopefully we'll see many of you at Inferno
or F8 LA, both of these will be memorable events for sure.
After a month of sleeping in a basement, not working Mon-Fri, drinking too much, hanging out almost exclusively with the 18-21 crowd, sleeping in till 5pm, living off Subway and coffee, going to the gym everyday, and playing some of my best sets for some of my best crowds....I am home. 7 shows, 3 weeks, and no getting sick, burnt out, or arrested. I would say the 2005 Channel Surfer Northwestern Tour went swell. Although, my Oregon date got relocated to Central Washington, and Vancouver BC was cancelled entirely, I was a busy Smurf and felt very welcomed and loved by the wonderful people in the NorthWest. The final dates ended up looking like this:
1) Stompin in Da Woods (Breaks/Progressive)
2) VIP Night (Hard melodic trance)
3) BOUNCE @ Mr. Lucky's (Breaks/House/Progressive/Epic Trance)
4) Black Out 3 (Upfront UK Hardcore/ Jump Up DnB)
5) Black Out Afterparty at F8 (Trance/Hard House/NRG)
6) 4 Hours of Channel on The Pulse 1330
(Breaks/Breaktrance/House/Progressive/Trance)
7) Phoenix Festival (Trance w Org. Tracks)
But man, it was a ride. There are so many great people in the area I couldn't help but think of how many of you would love to meet each other and party and dance and talk. Also, the slew of talented Dj's and Producers is unreal. Jimni Cricket, Element, Sonny Chiba, Monkey. MarQ, Ian K, Beefer, the list goes on and on.
I've had to put my head back together a little bit and get used to being home and back in my routine, but all in all, I'm happy to be home. The studio is back up and running and I'm finally getting the kinda of results in my tracks that I feel confident playing them out.
The only thing left on the Calendar at this point is my first date with my new label at 1015 Folsom in SF. This will be the FREQUENCY 8 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY. We're renting a 15 person van and will be trucking in up
there for the show on Aug 13th. There are spots still available if any one is interested. I've got a 2 hour slot and plan to play almost all new material with a couple of my own jams in there....I've got some great new progressive, some latin house, and some really sleazy Electroclash. Should be amazing.
Also, as a little "for the fans" update: look for the interveiw I did as well as the 1:43 min set I did for the PULSE RADIO guys on this site. Both are quite fun.

Life is such a mixed bag.
This last month has been an incredible amount of ups and downs with some of the highest peaks in my life and a couple of the lowest. For anyone who doesn't know, my close friend Jason Parker, passed away. Jason was a wonderful, benevolent person, with a great smile, amazing taste in trance, and was someone who had a great deal of potential on the decks. He often referred to me as a mentor, and I did try to teach him everything i possible could. One good thing is, I feel his grace and kindness has become part of me and I feel like I can be a better person from the things he has left with me. Getting on the decks all these times recently I have felt him there with me, and I know he'll be there as a guardian angel for me and my friends until we get to be with him.
On a lighter note, my dream of being a signed artist is now reality. Mars, founder of Frequency 8 records, one of Americas longest running Trance labels, has added me to his dj roster and is planning to release some of my original material. Mars has always been a favorite dj of mine and I'm still in disbelief that I'll be in the studio and onstage with the man. My first date with them will be the Frequency 8 10 Year Anniversary in San Fransisco on August 13. More on that as it comes. =)
Lastly, summer is rapidly approaching and that means the Channel Surfer Northwestern Tour draws closer. I'll be playing dates in Seattle, Canada, and possible Oregon. First off is STOMPIN IN DA WOODS. This is perhaps the biggest show of the season in the Seattle area. And will take place July 1-4, with over 80 djs, and 3 stages.
Anyone interested hit me up for the details. After that will be a headlining slot at BLACK OUT 3 on July 16th, and then headlining HARDWIRED presented by THE PULSE 1330 radio station, on July 22. My good freind Austin Scott has just been added to this so I'm very excited about that. Lastly July 30th I'll be playing the APEX PROJECT in Vancouver B.C. This is a 15 stage Massive, and the biggest summer event they do.
Thanks to everyone who writes me, and comes to the shows, and requests me at events, and helps me put together sets, and does my laundry, and deals with me when I'm being emo. I love you all so much, you mean everything to me. =)
